In March of 2012, MCG researchers Giancarlo Mariutto, Gerad O’Shea, and LaToye Adams presented findings and implications from two studies at the Early Education & Technology for Children (EETC) conference in Salt Lake City, UT. The presentation focused on the “gap” between the perceptions held by educational game developers about children’s abilities and expectations and children’s actual abilities and expectations. Theories about why the “gap” exists and case studies are were discussed.
