MCG SERVES AS AN EVALUATION PARTNER ON TWO READY TO LEARN GRANTS.
The US Department of Education Ready To Learn grants support the development of educational television and digital media targeted at preschool and early elementary school children and their families. Grants are awarded every five years, and have previously supported the development of SUPER WHY and WordWorld.
MCG is currently the evaluation partner on two Ready To Learn grants: project UMIGO
(yoU-Make-It-GO) and project ELC (Early Learning Collaborative). Both projects focus on the optimal use of media to engender children’s early literacy and numeracy acquisition. MCG is responsible for all formative research and summative evaluations for both projects, including multiple randomized-control trials (RCTs).
MCG presented UMiGo Findings as well as ELC Findings during the 2015 Annual American Educational Research Association Conference.
